Cashew / Almond Cheese Sauce
Put:
1 c raw cashews
or 3/4 c slivered almonds
1/2 c roasted red bell peppers
(can buy in a jar)
(gives a darker orange color)
or 1 c diced fresh red bell peppers
(will give a lighter orange color)
4 t dried minced onion
(yellow colored, not white)
or 2 t onion powder
1 t dried minced garlic
or 1/2 t garlic powder
1 1/4 t salt
1 T lemon juice
(or lime juice in Mexican dishes)
(omit lemon juice in Macaroni & Cheese
or Cheese Potato recipe)
1 c water
in a blender & blend for 1 - 2 min.
Use in the RecipeRICH recipes below or pour in a bowl or jar.
Serve
or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Freezes well, just stir after thawing.
