Macaroni & Cheese / Peas Stovetop
with Cashew Cheese
For Macaroni & Cheese
Put:
5 c water
1 t salt
in a large pot & bring to boil.
After water boils, add:
2 c pasta (any kind you like)
to the large pot.
Cook according to the package
(or continue boiling for 12 - 15 min.
until soft)
Stir occasionally.
After cooking pasta, can add:
1 t virgin olive oil
Stir, drain & put back in the large pot.
Make: Cashew/Almond
Cheese Sauce

(use almonds with rice pasta
& cashews with all other pasta)
Pour Cheese Sauce over the pasta in the large pot & stir.

with Almond Cheese
For Macaroni, Cheese & Peas
Follow the Macaroni & Cheese recipe.
Also put in a small pot:
1 c frozen peas
1/2 c water
& bring to a boil & simmer for 10 - 15 min.
Stir occasionally.
When the Macaroni & Cheese is finished, drain the peas & add the peas to it & stir.
Can cook on med. & stir to warm up & make sauce thicker for 5 min.
OR
put in covered glass or casserole dish & warm in oven at 225º until serving.
Serve
or cool down & refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
Can freeze, but will need to be thawed, then put in a pot with a little water & heat on med. high while stirring for 3 - 5 min.
