Put:
5 - 6 c cut fresh or frozen broccoli
or cauliflower
1/2 - 3/4 c diced onions
(sweet onions taste the best)
2 bay leaves
1 T basil
2 t tarragon
or 1 t thyme
1 1/2 t salt
1 1/2 c water
in a pot & bring to boil.
Reduce heat & simmer with lid slightly ajar on med. for 20 min.
Stir occasionally.
After cooking 20 min., can add:
1/2 t virgin coconut oil or olive oil
1 - 2 T lemon juice
(on Broccoli for calcium absorption)
to the pot, toss & discard bay leaves.
Serve
or cool down & refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 3 days
or freeze.
